On June 23, 2026, together with other working groups of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the team of Digital Landscape Ecology took part in the Hannover IdeenExpo 2026. We engaged numerous school students and young adults with our research on pollen monitoring and allergenicity in urban environments. The chance to examine pollen from different plant species under the microscope and to play a pollen memory game attracted many school students. We also introduced prospective students to the curriculum and key focus areas of the Geography study programme at the Leibniz University Hannover.
