On Thursday, 25 June 2026, the exhibition “Posters in the Bundestag: Academic Freedom – The Freedom to Conduct Research” opened in Berlin. This European series aims to showcase current, relevant research by Bachelor students to political decision-makers and the wider public.
From over 120 submissions, an independent jury selected 44 student contributions from 28 universities across Germany to be presented as posters at the Paul-Löbe-Haus in Berlin. Our Geography Bachelor’s graduate Ellen Reßmann is represented with her poster “Effects of climate anxiety on young adults' intentions to have own children” and presented her research on 25 June during the opening ceremony.
The Vice President of the German Bundestag, Andrea Lindholz, formally opened the exhibition. Journalist and moderator Dr. Jan-Martin Wiarda then guided attendees through the projects, sparking numerous stimulating discussions between invited guests and students. The exhibition is open to the public until 17 July 2026.
