On September 4, the Section of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology came together for this year’s Team Day, organized, as is tradition, by colleagues who joined the team over the past year. The Team Day is an opportunity to get to know each other better and strengthen team spirit – while a bit of competitive spirit also comes to life now and then.
This year, six teams took on a series of challenges, competing in knowledge, dexterity, and athletic skills. Sometimes it was about a steady hand, sometimes about speed – allowing everyone to play to their strengths – and leading to exciting head-to-head races.
After the games, the team gathered in the Welfengarten to enjoy a relaxed barbecue, good conversations, and to properly celebrate the morning’s winning teams. As in previous years, student assistants were warmly invited for the afternoon, to acknowledge their important work.
A big thank you to the organizers for putting together such a great day – and to the whole team for making PhyGeo what it is!
