Successful PHD defense by Johannes von Bloh
On April 28th 2021 Johannes von Bloh defended his PHD dissertation successfully. In his cumulative work „No size fits all – Exploring Entrepreneurship Measurement using Big Data, rare Events and Ecosystems“ Johannes von Bloh extensively researched the measurement of quantitative empirical data on spatial entrepreneurial activity. In close collaboration with the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, methods and data could be developed that did not exist for space related research on entrepreneurship before. In line with the current situation the defense was done online. The committee consisted of the chair Prof. Dr. Peter Dirksmeier, the supervisor Prof. Dr. Rolf Sternberg as well as the co-referee José Ernesto Amorós (EGADE Business School, Tecnologico de Monterrey).
