The Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology Section has signed an agreement with the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN) to intensify cooperation. An important aspect of the agreement is the systematic promotion and further development of our study programmes. This includes in particular the Bachelor's degree course in Geography with a specialisation in Physical Geography and the supplementary area of Geoinformatics, as well as the Master's degree course in Landscape Sciences, which specialises in GIS and modelling.
The degree programmes are funded as part of biStudiumGeoIT and PraxisStudiumGeoIT. By providing resources, expertise and project opportunities, the LGLN enables practical training and research: while the PraxisStudium programme combines a Bachelor's degree with practical work, the biStudium programme opens up the possibility of dual and work-integrated studies. This intensified cooperation aims to further expand students' skills and broaden their career prospects in the field of geoinformation and land survey.
