The team of Professor Benjamin Burkhard is researching structures and processes in landscapes and how these are changed by humans. The aim is to develop land use strategies for the sustainable supply and use of ecosystem services at different spatio-temporal scales. The working group is integrated into numerous national and international research networks and projects in order to promote exchange in research and teaching for the great challenges of our time and to contribute to their solution.
